The Lead Imam of Success Garden International and Raosad International at Oremeta in Mowe, Ogun State, Ustaz Uwais Ghazaaly, has urged Muslims not to fear any threatened demolition of the Kaabah, clarifying that the Kaabah is only a unified direction (Qiblah) for worship and not the object of worship itself.
He made this known while delivering a lecture at the Ifesowapo Adesan-Olu Central Mosque, Mowe, Ogun State, where he described unity and love for humanity as the central cure and core teaching of Islam as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Ustaz Ghazaaly further encouraged all people of goodwill to engage in general charity, noting that giving food remains the best form of charity.
According to him, when people – especially government workers – are well fed and catered for, effective service delivery is guaranteed and corruption will reduce, as poverty and hopelessness are primary contributors to corruption in most societies.
He concluded that all charity works must however be done solely for the sake of Almighty Allah, the Creator.
