Oregun Royal House Inheritance Dispute: Human Rights Monitors, HURMA Gives Ultimatum for Internal Resolution- African Narrators

Relatives and family members of late king of Oregun, HRM late king Olorunfunmi, the Olu of Oregun has been cautioned to accept the option of internal peaceful resolution over the ongoing inheritance dispute which is gradually building up within the family circle.

This advice was announced during a live Human Rights program on a Radio Nigeria station where some children of the late King had gone to report the matter.
According to the Executive Director of Human Rights Monitoring Agenda (HURMA Global Resource Initiative), Comrade Buna Olaitan Isiak who spoke during the weekly series, “it is advisable for all concerned relatives of late king Olorunfunmi the late Olu of Oregun kingdom, to rise to this occasion and rescue the family name from being dragged into the mud”.
The Human Rights Monitors finally gives ultimatum of less than one month for the option of internal peaceful resolution, otherwise the Human Rights office will take complete charge through a legal process of law.

According to the official complaint provided to the office of HURMA,

“The late king of Oregun, HRM Oba Olorunfunmi, the Olu of Oregun died seven years ago with no complete will of inheritance. Since his demise some family members based abroad have however been conspiring to sideline others here in Nigeria. No account rendered so far, to all family members on all properties.
“A meeting was once initiated and a committee set up to take inventory of all properties. The eldest son collected the entire findings and the rest family members have since been kept in the dark.
“This is the reason for involving external body. Moreso to ensure transparency and accountability”
