

A mixed notes of commendation and caution has been sent to the Hon. Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and other members of the Lagos House of Assembly by the Executive Director of Human Rights Monitoring Agenda HURMA, Comrade Buna Olaitan Isiak during a live presentation in Lagos.
The activist recall with profound commendation, recent positive action of prompt response to people’s call by Lagos Assembly as reported to the office of Human Rights Monitoring Agenda (HURMA Global Resource Initiative) by community members from Mushin area of Lagos State among other areas.


“Part of the duty of the members of the Assembly is to ensure relief and comfortability to the people they are representing, through proper pro-people legislation and active intervention towards solving their problems.
“The Constitution is clear on this in Chapter 2 which addresses Fundamental Objective and Directive Principle of State Policies”
“These are their primary responsibilities. Not to come to the ‘House’ and assembly the resources of the poor and suffering masses for personal interest. Whoever that does this would naturally end disastrously because no one can cheat nature”
