The Nigeria Christian Civil Corps and Christian leaders dedicated the recent FCT prayer summit to national security and peace.
The 19th national security prayer summit at the FCT Abuja was an avenue to educate participants on how well to channel passion as a voluntary organization towards praying for general good; preaching and teaching to make sure peace continue to exist in the county with the hope of general security issues soon becoming a thing of the past.
The summit witnessed Christian leaders, government officials, captains of industries, business gurus, royal fathers, top politicians and agencies who came together to pray for Nigerian security and general well being.
Speaking during the summit, the Corps Commanding Officer, Chaplain Daniel Joe Alimi said the national security prayer summit is a call to action for Christians to come together and pray for the nation’s security as prayer is believed to have power to bring about desired transformation and peace.
“Despite the up hills task, we would not relents over our responsibilities and to make sure we achieve the our primary aims while the corps remains a non-denominational Christian organization that provides chaplaincy service to Christians in Nigeria.
“With this summit we are convinced that security issues would be a thing of the past where Nigerians would now witness and enjoy peace across the country.
“The organization aims is to promote salvation, healing, restoration to see Nigeria transformed and rebuilt by power of the gospel, with Nigerians living according to Christian’s value in a new nation without crime, terrorism and with spiritual growth, unity, good leadership and national development.
The chaplain commander maintained that the corps is made of highly disciplined and biblically trained soldiers of Christ who are always ready to make sure that the summit theme never failed despite challenges and as well specially dedicated to ensure Nigerians witness the rebuilding of a new Nigeria through Christ, without any doubt.
“We are indeed proud to be saddled with the responsibility of operation Jesus Over Nigeria by discipleship and reaching out to the security agencies and government establishment to achieve better Nigeria”.
During an interview with the Corps Commanding Officer at the National Headquarters, 4 Dominic Utuk Avenue, Uyo Akwa Ibom State, a correspondent further gathered that the summit featured prophetic prayers sessions, keynote addresses, and also commissioning of new chaplains with discussion on the role of faith in promoting national security while chaplain Chukwudumbie Chukwuemeka, the Corps Commanding Officer of the FCT Abuja Command and his men work tirelessly to make sure the summit witness a successful program despite many challenges.
