I heard he presented the best speech so far. I heard there is a savior in town. I heard he has the solution to rescue our father’s land from the present grip of exploiters and oppressors. Moreso, he is from our much respected Labour Party that we have always envisaged would save Nigeria from the economic grip of present bourgeois exploiters. I was filled with joy and hope. So I went to search for his full names so as to always include him in my daily prayers, for total success. But only to find out that it is still one of those old cliques that have been killing us softly in all ways and manners in the country.
I was really disappointed to see a former governor of a capitalist oriented party now hijacking our dear Labour Party.
I felt all flushed with fever and indeed embarrassed by the Labour Party leadership decision. I prayed that the bad dream would finish and the LP leadership would repent, but they just get more and more Obidient to that stand. Rather, they assist Obi in getting good brains to reframe and manage his personality on social media as a newly arrived savior. Unfortunately, the promotion is either selfishly or ignorantly limited to Peter-Obi without much care about other structural candidacies across the entire nation. I see this as a failure and nothing but a sure game for future political office negotiation.
The question that keeps coming to my mind is that if Peter Obi was sincere in his acclaimed rescue mission with the least love for Nigeria, then why must it be him at all cost. Why can’t he channel his energies and accumulated resources towards assisting one of the many selfless masses oriented personalities in Labour Party, with no bad record whatsoever. Why must it be him due to his financial strength and negotiated ethnic arrangements.
This same question goes to Atiku Abubakar who I see no reason to waste time on. My advice to him is simply to get good team like those of Obi rebranders who will reproject him as a Muslim pious person. Moreso I advise him to start a charity platform so that Nigerians can at least have something good to point to about him in future, if he still intends to contest.
Tinubu is the only one I can refer to as the most sincere among the three leading candidates for the presidential race.
Tinubu never claimed that he is a saint or a savior, rather he confessed that he simply loves that title of President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and he wants to as well taste the office. He said he has assisted many to rise, including president Buhari, and he also desires to be in power. If I sincerely want to vote in 2023 presidential race, I would most likely rather vote for a Adebayo of SDP. But this may be simply tantamount to a waste because he has no political empire to operate with. His type can only operate under the remote control of existing cabals. Even a former military president, Muhammadu Buhari could not continue with his initial anti corruption and completely pro masses spirit and determination. What he met on ground goes beyond the local cabals. But strong international networks with several interests on Nigeria economy. All that Buhari is praying for now is for 2023 to come fast so as to return to his village with whatever little he could achieve.
The Jagaban, Tinubu has a readily built empire and he is still building more. Though old and somehow weak, as trending on the social media, non or very few have the capacity to wrestle with him on the structures under his control and this include political state structures; Companies; garages and parks among others.
Tinubu has a quality of harmonizing best brains available irrespective of tribe, sex, age e.t.c. His acheivemet in Lagos was not only by him, but all identified brains tasked to achieve whatever target. This is the quality I believe he would use to build the Nigeria that would at least favor the masses to a large extent, if eventually he becomes the president. My only fear is if he end up like Yaradua and our northern friends move on with intention and agenda not very clear to many.
I maintain that the top known candidates for the 2023 presidential race are members of the cliques that have so long been killing us softly in this country and siphoning our whole future from their different cult camp.
The masses however have the alternative of social revolution, but the orientation is very poor and may take decades to achieve. But with us genuinely selfless revolutionary activists, it is a journey that has already started, even if it is a million miles,
