A group of aggrieved elders and youths of Alimosho community who claimed to be core indigenous people have called on the state to investigate alleged anti-party activities of Hon. Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, a member of the party.
According to a statement by the concerned group, the action of Adejoke Orelope seriously undermine the core indigenous characters of the people for a selfish interest.

“The senatorial candidate of APC in Lagos-west, Dr. Idiat Adebule nearly lost the February 25, 2023 National Assembly election partly because Hon. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire refused to support her in Alimosho LGA, the largest LGA among the 10LGAs in the district, in protest against her failure to secure the ticket.
“This is seen in her lack of interest in mobilizing, campaigning or producing materials in support of the candidate throughout the campaign period till the National Assembly election.
“However, shortly after the National Assembly election, materials reflecting “Orelope” which include face caps, customized recharge cards, food materials among others started showing face. The materials alongside the food pack sent by the Governor to Alimosho through the party at the State was also cornered and added to the campaign materials just for Lukman Orelope’s successful election into the State Assembly.
“It is also on record that all through the campaign period before the National Assembly and Presidential election, Hon Adejoke Orelope-Adefuliere and her followers did not participate in any rally and only appear at just one consultation campaign with Alimosho artisans held at Idimu.
“The materials produced by Hon Adejoke Orelope-Adefuliere at the post National Assembly election, was so much that they fear not being able to share it all till the end of the state Assembly election. Thanks to the extension of the State Assembly election by one week, many of these materials would have gone to waste.
“In addition to her unconcern about the National Assembly election, she and her group destroyed all the election plans made by the mainstream using the State vice-chairman, Hon Aboyade. This destroyed plan has been helping Alimosho to make electoral success since time immemorial and against all odds courtesy of the Alimosho G18 head by Abdullahi Enilolobo.
The scuttled plans which include an overnight change of Polling unit agents and creation of tension and disharmony among party members through spreading of rumor on members entitlement was well hatched out. The change in agents was an icing on the cake. As a result, as at the morning of the National Assembly election, APC Alimosho was in an self-imposed tension courtesy of Hon Adejoke Orelope-Adefuliere.
“To make things worst, the agents used to replaced the experienced agents as planned by the mainstream were in some polling units no where to be found, while some were also found sleeping at the polling booth. These are deliberate attempts to throw away the baby with the bath water.
But in the State Assembly election, they accepted the plans of the mainstream knowing initially that they are not capable of winning the election by themselves. And thanks to the G18 under the leadership of Abdullahi Enilolobo everything work perfectly. Anyways, to Abdullahi Enilolobo, he is willing to give his all to ensure the save re-election of Gov Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu.
“There is need for urgent and immediate Investigation into the anti-party activities of Hon. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire. Though, anti-party has been her ways. In 2019 and 2015, some of her members contested in Accord and ADC. This is a story for another time. For, all these periods, she didn’t deny being a member of APC but she was working very hard against the success of the party. It is however unbelievable that in the election where her own brother was forced on the party as Alimosho 01 assembly candidate, she could still toe her anti-party line.
“Moving forward, real party stalwarts should be given attention to lead the party to success in future. Else, she wouldn’t mind if the party is destroyed so far herself and her family are enjoying the gains.”
